We are Equal - but not “all-ways” #3

We are Equal, but not always (and not in ‘all ways’)

We are all just pieces of this Universe, pieces of this existence - whether this existence is made up of atoms, or quarks, or dark energy or dark matter - or any other kind of energy or matter, it doesn't matter in the end…

Considering the unimaginable time scale of the universe, just a moment ago you and I existed as a potential combination of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and phosphorus atoms - which, organised in a specific way, would define how our bodies would be structured. In other words, not so long ago, the DNA chain that has the instructions on how to build your body and my body only existed as a possibility

As incredible as it seems, that unique combination did eventually took place when your mother and father decided to rub their parts together to produce some excitement… Mathematicians calculate a 1 in 400 trillion chance for that particular DNA chain to form. With 117 billion humans to have ever been alive, there's only a 0,029% chance another human-body carried the same DNA you have.

But I will not digress further from the point of this blog.

We are Equal, but not all the time…

Once upon a time you and I were just atoms scatered on this Earth. But today these atoms have come together to form our bodies, and this body is pretty spectacular!

When simple atoms come together to form a human body, something amazing takes place: the ability to perceive the world gives rise to an attempt to understand it - and then, given our intellect and  physical capabilities, we have transform the world into something else.

No other animal can do what we do. There is no doubt we are the most advanced organism on earth. This particular combination of atoms that forms the human body is the most powerful.

What does it really mean to have "more power"?

It means to have more responsibility.

We are the most powerful living organism - and therefore the one with the greatest responsibility.

This has been know for thousands of years:
"Have dominium over the earth and all the living things that crawlth upon it"

Unfortunately, this has been misunderstood… This statement has been abused to justify and excuse our ego and selfishness. Instead of being the custodians of Life, the great carers of all Life on earth, we have abused it, destroyed it, even driven species to extinction…

All Life is Equal, but not all the time…

As Human beings we are superior, and because of our superior intelect and physical capacities, we are superior in RESPONSIBILITY.

The fact we have a superior intelect and a superior capacity to transform the world around us does not give us the right to abuse other life forms - and also does not give some humans the right to deprive or take away from others humans what is their birth right access to what is necessary to live.  

Amongst ourselves, some have a superior intellect and some have an inferior intelect. This mean, some have greater responsibility than others.

The problem in this world is: people have abused their "life-given gifts" to only benefit themselves.

There are millions of people with highly superior intelects - and what have these people done? What are these "superior people" doing? They are only looking at ways to benefit themselves! They are all looking for the next great business opportunity to make big bucks, they are all looking for more way to make more money to fulfil their selfish desires and dreams at all cost, even if billions of people don't have access to proper nutrition, no toilet, no running water…

They have acted irresponsibily given the gifts they have. They have designed systems of money, politics, and education to benefit themselves only!

The world is full of smart-dumb people. They are only smart enough to benefit themselves, yet dumb to the extent they do not realise that if we benefit everyone, then everyone, including themselves and the ones they cherish, will benefit much more than if they only focused on themselves.

It's the plague of the "superior-in-fear-ior human" -- which is virtually everyone in positions of power, using that power to benefit themselves only because they are in-Fear (inferior) of their fellow humans.

Therefore, every "superior human" using their "superior intelect" to benefit themselves only is actually inferior (in-fear) -- because if they had no-fear, they would focus on benefiting everyone. Common Sense.

You see? We are Equal, but not all the time…

As humans we are superior to other species, and amongst ourselves some are superior to others in Ability.

Yet, these "superior humans" ignore their Response-Ability in benefiting everyone, and so they make themselves inferior to the Whole.

And one day the "superior human" dies, and this bunch of atoms that had superior abilities goes back to the earth - only worthy as food for maggots. Once upon a time, he/she could have contributed to a paradise for all. But instead he/she was driven by self-interest only, and nothing of any worth remained.

See how stupid can we humans can be?
